Birthday lunch at the 4 J’s


Last Sunday we  lunched at the 4 Js.
We were greeted by the blackboard menu

Yum…A slice of fig tart for dessert

Of course we had mains.
A beef and pork terrine

Quinao salad
“Quniao–a species of goosefoot  is a grain-like crop grown primarily for its edible seeds. It is a psuedoccereal rather than a true cereal, or grain, as it is not a member of the grass family. Quinoa is closely related to species such as beets, spinach and tumbleweeds”–from wikipedia.
The seeds has a lovely texture and I would be getting some for the pantry too.

When you look at the view–it  helps you delay the cleaning up.

And I reckon this is a challenge for me to paint this view in the future!
